In August, some apples started to drop on the ground, so my husband and my son impatiently picked the very green apples which were still very sour! I had to do something with them, so I baked the apple cakes several times.
Now lots of apples are on the ground and also eaten by small creatures. They didn't turn in red color like I expected, but they are decently sweet. What kind of apples are they??? They are not shiny like granny smith.
Today was beautiful autumn day here in Northern California and I didn't mind open up the windows and cook in the kitchen. I went out in the backyard and picked some apples. Then, I cut up about 12 apples and cooked about 30 minutes. Voila! I have 8 jars of delicious homemade applesauce! Yum yum.

How are you? i think about you often but am so lazy about getting in my car and driving down there. will you be at quilting in the garden? I will bop over and see you. also will you be at market?
