Can you grow roses from cutting?

My friend taught me how to grow roses from cuting.  Leaving just a few leaves without flowers, dip the fresh cut edge into rooting hormone powder.  Then plant the cutting in potting mix, and water.  We planted 4 stems.  One seams like it is going to succeed.  I hope it will.  This rose is called "Queen of Sweden".  Beautiful on picture.

My friend also gave me the pot filled with already rooted roses.  These are doing very well.  I know it will take some time, but I'm so impatient.  I want to see them bloom now.
